Lithuanian PM to visit Kyiv, Donetsk region

Lithuanian Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis will travel to Kyiv and the Donetsk region as part of his official visit to Ukraine on April 11-12, the press service of the Lithuanian government has reported.

"Skvernelis will meet with the leadership of the Donetsk military and civilian administration, examine the consequences of military operations and the course of their liquidation, visit an outpatient facility repaired at the expense of Lithuanian funds and open a children's playground equipped with Lithuanian volunteers' resources," reads the statement.

It specifies that the Lithuanian prime minister will also meet in Donbas with the local population, transfer the support of the Government of Lithuania and Blue/Yellow to the Ukrainian troops - food, optics, and medical devices.

In Kyiv, Skvernelis will meet with Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman, open the Kyiv Security Forum and attend the session of the prime ministers of Ukraine, Lithuania and Moldova "Regional Cooperation: Uniting Common Goals." 

Last November, the Lithuanian government approved the transfer of arms to Ukraine for almost EUR 2 million.
