Parliament refuses to consider cancellation of e-declarations for activists

The Verkhovna Rada has refused to include in the agenda bills No. 8120 and No. 8120-1 postponing the filing of e-declarations by civil society activists, as well as bills No. 8209 and No. 8209-1 cancelling declaration for this category of persons, an Ukrinform correspondent has reported.

Verkhovna Rada Chairman Andriy Parubiy put to the vote three times the inclusion of these bills in the agenda, but lawmakers rejected such a proposal.

Later, the head of the Bloc of Petro Poroshenko faction in parliament, Artur Herasymov, said that the faction was against the inclusion in the agenda of a package of these four bills.

The parliament speaker separately put to the vote bill No. 8120 by MP Serhiy Leshchenko (regarding the postponement of e-declaration for one year) and bill No. 8120-1 by Herasymov (regarding the postponement of electronic declaration until July 1), but this proposal did not receive the necessary support from deputies.

After that, Parubiy put to the vote the inclusion in the agenda of bills Nos. 8209 and No. 8209-1, signed by the majority of the leaders of parliamentary factions, who proposed to cancel e-declarations for civil society representatives. This proposal was also not supported by parliament.
