French foreign minister to make visit to Ukraine

Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France Jean-Yves Le Drian will make a working visit to Ukraine on March 22-23.

This is reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.

"On March 23, Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin will meet in Kyiv with Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France Jean-Yves Le Drian. The ministers will discuss bilateral cooperation between the two states, coordination of further efforts of Ukraine and France, including within the framework of the Normandy format to stop Russian aggression against Ukraine and to de-occupy Crimea and Donbas," the statement reads.

The parties will also discuss further activities to promote the release of hostages and political prisoners, who are illegally detained by the Kremlin and the Russian de facto authorities in Crimea and Donbas.
