Ukraine's Foreign Ministry calls on Russia to release Pavlo Hryb

Ukraine's Foreign Ministry has urged one again Russia to release Ukrainian citizen Pavlo Hryb, who was illegally kidnapped in Belarus and then jailed in Russia.

Spokesperson for the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Mariana Betsa reported this on Twitter.

"On March 20, the Russian court left political prisoner Pavlo Hryb in custody until May 4. Despite the laws Hryb’s mother was not allowed to visit her son. We demand for Pavlo Hryb’s release," Betsa wrote.

As reported, on August 24, 2017, 19-year-old citizen of Ukraine Pavlo Hryb was illegally detained on Belarusian territory and subsequently transferred to Russia, probably with the participation of FSB officers. The Russian authorities accuse Hryb of plotting a terrorist attack in school.
