MP Savchenko returns to Ukraine

Ukrainian MP Nadia Savchenko arrived at Kyiv's Boryspil Airport from Munich late on March 14, according to the 112 Ukraine television channel.

"It was a very good flight. I met a lot of good people on my way - our Ukrainians who are forced to go and earn money abroad," Savchenko told a channel correspondent.

The MP did not disclose the details of her trip.

Earlier it was reported that Savchenko had been summoned for questioning to the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) due to the case of Volodymyr Ruban, the head of the Officer Corps Center for Prisoner Release.

Later, Savchenko's spokesperson said that the lawmaker had not received any subpoena or invitation to the SBU and was on a working visit to the PACE. At the same time, the head of the parliamentary delegation to the PACE, Volodymyr Ariev, noted that Savchenko had not appeared at a PACE meeting.

Savchenko, in turn, said that she would stay on a working trip to Strasbourg until March 16. She also said she had not received any formal subpoena for interrogation and therefore called on the SBU to hand it over to her.
