EU's Foreign Affairs Council to discuss occupation of Crimea and election in Russia

The EU's Foreign Affairs Council, at a regular meeting on March 19, will discuss the situation in Ukraine in the context of the fourth anniversary of the Russian occupation of Crimea and the holding of Russia’s presidential election.

Ukrinform's own correspondent in Brussels learnt this from the EU's governing body.

"The foreign ministers will exchange views on Ukraine. The EU High Representative [Federica Mogherini] will inform the ministers about her visit to Kyiv on March 11-12. The EU Council will discuss the situation in Ukraine, particularly, the reform process," the EU Council said.

According to the report, the foreign ministers will discuss the situation in eastern Ukraine, the fourth anniversary of the illegal annexation of Crimea and the presidential election in Russia.

As Ukrinform reported, Vice-President of the European Commission - EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini will visit Kyiv on March 11-12.
