Ukrainian consuls not allowed to attend court hearing in Pavlo Hryb’s case

A court in the city of Krasnodar of the Russian Federation has not allowed Ukrainian consuls to attend a court hearing on a measure of restraint for Ukrainian citizen Pavlo Hryb.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin informed this on Twitter.

"Our consuls are not allowed to attend a court hearing in the case of Pavlo Hryb in Krasnodar. This is a total lawlessness and arbitrariness of the Russian pseudo-judicial system. This goes beyond all bounds - the violation of all international norms," the minister said.

As reported, the court in the city of Krasnodar of the Russian Federation extended the arrest of Ukrainian citizen Pavlo Hryb until March 4, 2018.

Pavlo Hryb disappeared in Belarus on August 24. Later it became known that he was kidnapped by Russian intelligence services and transferred to the Krasnodar detention facility (Russia).
