President expects a number of personnel decisions from parliament

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko expects the Verkhovna Rada to adopt a number of important personnel decisions in the near future.

He said this at a press conference in Kyiv on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

In particular, the issue concerns the appointment of the governor of the National Bank of Ukraine, the Central Election Commission, the Accounting Chamber, and the ombudsperson, Poroshenko said.

"I'm waiting for decisions on personnel issues in the near future. It's about voting for governor of the National Bank. We have an appeal from our international partners, the IMF. I am very pleased that during the meeting the factions promised to support the candidate that I proposed for this post," he said.

In addition, Poroshenko expects from the Verkhovna Rada the appointment of the updated composition of the Central Election Commission, a new composition of the Accounting Chamber, and the completion of the formation of the Constitutional Court.

He also insists that parliament appoint an auditor of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and vote for the new ombudsperson.
