PM Groysman to chair Coordinating Council for Road Safety

The Cabinet of Ministers has created the Coordinating Council for Road Safety.

This decision was made at a meeting of the Government on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"This council is very important from the point of view of developing important decisions, so that we can quickly start implementing them, from design standards to system-related measures, and create a normal system," Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said.

The head of the government states that he personally will chair this council. MP Ihor Didenko and Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelyan will be deputy chairpersons.

The council will develop a road safety strategy.
