Foreign Ministries of Ukraine, Belarus agree on bilateral cooperation for the near future

The Foreign Ministries of Ukraine and Belarus have agreed on bilateral cooperation for the near future, which includes economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.

The press service of the Ukrainian Embassy in Belarus informed this on the results of the Ukrainian-Belarusian consultations held in Minsk on February 26 at the level of deputy heads of foreign departments of the two countries - Vasyl Bodnar and Andrei Evdochenko.

"The consultations were focused on the bilateral cooperation activities, including the holding of a regular meeting of the intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation, the holding of the Ukrainian-Belarusian regional forum, theme-based consultations at the level of structural departments of the Foreign Ministries of both countries," the statement reads.

The parties also discussed economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation and consular issues. "The parties confirmed the importance of having a permanent dialogue to resolve relevant issues," the statement said.
