Klimkin leaves for Kuwait to take part in meeting of Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin will participate in a ministerial meeting of the Global Coalition to Defeat The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), which will be held in Kuwait on February 13.

This was reported by the press service of the Embassy of Ukraine in Kuwait.

"The ministerial meeting of the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS is intended to coordinate efforts of the member states in confronting the terrorist threat not only in Syria and Iraq but also throughout the world, as well as to discuss the ways of overcoming the consequences of ISIS criminal activities," the report reads.

About 70 countries and international organizations, which are the participants in the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS, intend to participate in the event being represented at the ministerial level.

The conference will be co-chaired by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabahand U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.
