Meeting in Normandy format to be held in Munich next week – Ischinger

Ukraine, Germany, France and Russia are preparing to meet on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference next week to discuss the conflict in eastern Ukraine.

Head of the MSC conference Wolfgang Ischinger said this on Thursday, Reuters reported.

"Top officials from all four countries will participate in the high-level meeting, including Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov," Ischinger said.

The four countries have been meeting regularly in the so-called “Normandy Format” since 2014 to try to resolve the conflict in which some 10,000 people have been killed.
