Ukraine will continue to implement the already ongoing and new reforms despite the approaching election cycle.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said this at the Ukrainian Breakfast in Davos, organized by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"We have the important achievements within the framework of the ‘autumn of reform’, but this is not enough. We are not going to stop our progress even in view of the approaching election cycle in Ukraine," Poroshenko said.

He added that Ukraine would continue to cooperate with the International Monetary Fund. In this context, Poroshenko said that during the meeting with the IMF leadership "a clear date was set regarding what and when should happen, including the progress in establishment of the Anti-Corruption Court."

The President also said that Ukraine planned to implement the tax reform, in particular, to replace the income tax with the tax on distributed profits, and establish the National Bureau of Financial Investigations.

"We plan to create an effective system that will protect investors," Poroshenko emphasized.
