Speaker Parubiy instructs to develop bill on Crimea free trade zone

Verkhovna Rada Chairman Andriy Parubiy has instructed a working group with the participation of representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers to draft a bill on the creation of a free economic zone called Crimea.

He said at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada on Thursday after voting for the bill on recognizing Russia as an aggressor, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"In parallel, I instruct the working group and the Cabinet of Ministers to develop a draft law and regulations on a free economic zone," the speaker said.

Earlier, MP from the Bloc of Petro Poroshenko faction Viktor Pynzenyk noted that the draft law on recognizing Russia as an aggressor provided for the repeal of the law on creation of the free economic zone "Crimea" and on the peculiarities of the economic activity in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine.

According to him, this law is the basis for border and customs control on the administrative border with Crimea.
