Klimkin, Lavrov discuss release of hostages, format of UN peacekeeping force

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov have discussed the release of hostages and political prisoners, as well as the format of a possible UN peacekeeping force in Donbas.

Klimkin wrote this on Twitter on Monday.

"I have just talked with Lavrov about the release of our hostages and political prisoners, as well as the format of a possible UN peacekeeping mission for occupied Donbas. The positions are very divergent, but we should continue working," he wrote.

According to him, the sides also talked about the work of the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) and "did not overlook his [Lavrov's] final press conference."
