Polish Foreign Minister wants to settle historical disputes with Ukraine as soon as possible

Newly appointed Polish Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz expressed his hope for an early settlement of historical disputes in the relations with Ukraine.

This is said in the statement of the Polish Foreign Ministry.

As noted, Czaputowicz held the first telephone conversations at his position with the foreign ministers of Hungary (at the request of the Hungarian side) and Ukraine.

"Czaputowicz reaffirmed Poland's commitment to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and stressed that Poland would continue to support Ukraine's European aspirations and expressed hope that the historical disputes in relations between Poland and Ukraine would be settled as soon as possible," the statement reads.
