Klimkin to meet with new Polish foreign minister soon

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin and newly appointed Polish Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz have agreed to meet in the near future and discuss the strengthening of strategic partnership.

Klimkin wrote this on his Twitter page on Wednesday.

"I personally congratulated my new Polish colleague Czaputowicz on his appointment. We agreed to meet in the near future. We will talk about the strengthening of strategic partnership, including cooperation at the UN Security Council, where our Polish friends took over the baton of membership," Klimkin wrote.

A ceremony to appoint new government ministers with the participation of Polish President Andrzej Duda was held in Poland on January 9.

Witold Waszczykowski was replaced by Jacek Czaputowicz, who until recently held the post of deputy foreign minister.
