Suprun hopes that 10 decisions on health reform to be taken at government meeting tomorrow

Ukraine's Acting Health Minister Ulana Suprun hopes that at least 10 decisions on health care reform will be taken at a government meeting on Wednesday, but the reform can be implemented only if President Poroshenko signs the relevant law.

Suprun said this during a briefing in Ternopil, where she took part in the opening of the Polytrauma Rehabilitation Center, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"We have developed the key law on the state financial guarantees for the provision of medical services and medicines. But we cannot implement the health care reform, because we have been waiting for the president to sign our law for 66 days. At tomorrow's government meeting, we hope that we will adopt at least 10 decisions that will enable us to implement the health care reform," the acting minister said.

According to her, among other things, the decisions refer to the creation of the National Health Service and a number of by-laws. This will be possible after the president signs the law, according to which "money will follow the patient" in each medical institution.
