Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reminds Kremlin of inevitability of punishment for aggression

Ukraine calls on the world community to unite in order to resist attempts of the aggressor states, including the Russian Federation, to use aggression as a way of conducting foreign policy.

This is stated in a statement made by the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry on the occasion of the 43rd anniversary of the resolution of the UN General Assembly 3314 (XXIX) entitled "Definition of aggression".

"Ukraine calls on the world community to unite in a decisive confrontation with the attempts of the aggressor states, including the Russian Federation, to use aggression as a way of conducting foreign policy and imposing rules that are destructive for the world order and human values, to take all possible measures to adopt the generally accepted principles of peaceful coexistence of states and to respect their sovereignty and territorial integrity," the document says.

The Foreign Ministry urged the Russian Federation to implement the UN General Assembly resolutions 68/262 and 71/205, stop armed aggression against Ukraine, withdraw its regular armed forces, weapons and military equipment from the Ukrainian territory, as well as to cancel all acts aimed at legalizing the attempt of annexation of Crimea and puppet formations of the aggressor state in the occupied territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
