Polish president arrives in Kharkiv

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has met in Kharkiv with Polish President Andrzej Duda, who arrived in Ukraine on a one-day working visit.

The head of the Ukrainian state reported this on Twitter. 

"I am glad to welcome President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda in Ukraine!" reads the report.

As reported, as part of his one-day visit, Duda will meet with Poroshenko, observers from the OSCE mission and representatives of the United Nations Development Program.

Duda will also pay tribute to the Polish soldiers who were killed by the NKVD and buried in the cemetery of the victims of totalitarianism in Kharkiv.

The press service of the Ukrainian president reported earlier that the main subject of talks between the leaders of the two states in Kharkiv on December 13 would be the strategic issues of bilateral political cooperation, as well as the strengthening of cooperation in the field of security and defense, including in the context of fighting Russian aggression.
