Ukrainian Foreign Ministry urges Russia to release political prisoners and stop repressions in occupied Crimea

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry on the Human Rights Day marked on December 10 urged the Russian Federation to stop repression in the occupied Crimea and to release all illegally detained persons.

Spokesperson for of the Foreign Ministry Mariana Betsa reported this on Twitter.

"December 10 is the Human Rights Day. We demand from Russian Federation to stop repressions in occupied Crimea, release all political prisoners and illegally detained persons," she wrote.

Earlier, the British Embassy in Ukraine urged the Russian Federation to immediately release Ukrainian political prisoners.
