Embassy of Ukraine in Israel recommends Ukrainians to refrain from traveling to Jerusalem

The Ukrainian Embassy in the State of Israel recommends Ukrainians to refrain from visiting Jerusalem in the near future because of the worsening security situation.

"Due to the decision of the U.S. president to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital and to move the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem, there is a possibility of an aggravation of the security situation in the West Bank and East Jerusalem because of terrorist threats," the Ukrainian Embassy in Israel informed.

The Embassy recommends the citizens of Ukraine to avoid visiting these places in the near future. Those citizens, who are already in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, are advised to stay vigilant and avoid crowds.

As Ukrinform reported, on December 6, U.S. President Donald Trump recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. Such position caused controversy across the world.
