Japan’s Ambassador: Year of Japan in Ukraine strengthens bilateral relations (photos)

Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Japan in Ukraine Shigeki Sumi has said that relations between the two countries are permanent and firm.

He stated this during the solemn opening ceremony of "The Imaginary Guide: Japan" exhibition on the occasion of the Year of Japan in Ukraine, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The bilateral relations are permanent and firm,” he said.

As it is known, Japan provides large loans to Ukraine, in particular, for infrastructure projects.

In addition, the Ambassador of Japan and the President of Ukraine visited various military hospitals across the country, where the latest electronic medical equipment was sent for the rehabilitation of Ukrainian heroes.

Shigeki Sumi also stressed that Japan supports Ukraine is its desire for peace and stability.

As earlier Ukrinform reported, President Petro Poroshenko took part in the opening ceremony of the exhibition "The Imaginary Guide: Japan", which, according to him, crowns the Year of Japan in Ukraine.
