British Foreign Secretary Johnson: Don’t reward Russia too early

British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson says it is necessary to keep pressure on Moscow and continue to work towards a solution to the conflict in Donbas.

Johnson said on the air of Fox News during his visit to Washington.

"The Ukraine problem is extremely difficult, but we cannot give up on what they [Russians] did in Crimea. That was a sovereign territory of European nation and it was taken by Russia, and we need to stick up for our principles. I know that people here in Washington, here in America, also believe in that too," Johnson said.

According to the British Foreign Secretary, it is “too early” to reward Russia and there is a need to keep pressure on Moscow.

"So, we have to keep the pressure on Russians for that, but at the same time we have to work towards the solution in Ukraine to end the war that is going on in Donbas region," the politician stressed.

British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson is currently on a working visit in Washington.
