Ukraine interested in further cooperation with Japan on infrastructure projects – Groysman

Ukraine is ready to enhance cooperation with Japan’s government and companies in implementing large-scale projects, first of all in the infrastructure.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said this at a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan Kazuyuki Nakane, the government’s press service reports.

“We appreciate the principled position of official Tokyo regarding the support of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our state. And we are determined to strengthen economic cooperation, in particular, in implementing large-scale projects with Japanese companies,” Groysman said.

The prime minister informed the interlocutor about the key principles of the Ukrainian government's reform policy, which is aimed at accelerating economic growth and raising social standards.

Kazuyuki Nakane, in turn, stressed that Japan notes the progress in Ukraine and is ready to continue supporting social and economic changes in the country. Therefore, the Japanese foreign minister assured of further bilateral cooperation between the countries, including at the highest level.
