Vice PM Klympush-Tsintsadze: Ukraine ready for dialogue on language law

Hungary restricts the rights of national minorities by blocking the European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine.

Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze stated this upon the meeting with Education and Science Minister of Ukraine Lilia Hrynevych and the ambassadors of the EU Council member states in Brussels on Tuesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"We explained our readiness for dialogue and zero tolerance to an ultimatum issued by Hungary. Putting forward proposals for blocking the European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine, Hungary thereby restricts the rights of the Hungarian minority in Ukraine," the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine said.

Klympush-Tsintsadze stressed that the law on education is framework legislation, and the plan for its implementation will be elaborated in subsequent bylaws.

"We believe that we will be able to reflect within the framework of these implementation plans all the agreements which we have already reached with our partners from Poland and Bulgaria and which we hope to reach with the Romanian side."
