Russia conducts policy of state terrorism in occupied Crimea – Chiygoz

Russia conducts the policy of state terrorism in the occupied Crimea against the indigenous population of the peninsula.

Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Akhtem Chiygoz said this at a briefing on Tuesday, October 31, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"Despite the diplomacy, we need to call things as they are - the state terrorism is conducted in Crimea by the Russian Federation. You all should clearly realize this. It's not repression or difficult period of military occupation, it's a terror," Chiygoz said.

According to him, the essence of Russia's actions in the occupied Crimea is "multifold plans for murders, abductions, intimidation, illegal arrests."

"There is absolutely nothing related to the concept of the law," he stressed.

He has noted that the important aspect of Russian policy of state terror is to force the indigenous population of the peninsula to leave Crimea.

Chiygoz noted that he did not consider the transfer of him and Ilmi Umerov by Russia to the Turkish side as liberation.
