Turkish president to visit Ukraine on October 9

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will pay an official visit to Ukraine on October 9 to attend the sixth meeting of the High-level Strategic Council between Ukraine and the Republic of Turkey.

"Bilateral and regional issues will be discussed in detail at the council meeting in Kyiv, which will be chaired by Turkish President Erdoğan and Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko," the statement reads.

The Turkish leader will meet with Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy and Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman.

During the visit, new areas of cooperation to deepen the strategic partnership with Ukraine will be discussed, and various documents and protocols will be signed in this direction.

In addition, the parties will discuss the Crimean issue and the situation of the Crimean Tatars.
