President to table in parliament two bills on Donbas - MP

Secretary of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security and Defense, MP Ivan Vinnyk has said that Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko will table in parliament two bills on Donbas.

He said this on Wednesday, when asked whether the head of state plans to table in parliament one more bill on Donbas, in addition to the draft law on Donbas reintegration, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"There will be one more bill that will be [submitted to] the foreign affairs committee. The other bill will deal with issues related to international relations," Vinnyk said.

When asked whether the second draft law will address the extension of the effect of the law on the special procedure of local government in certain districts of Donbas, Vinnyk noted that this was not the case.

"I can confirm that two [bills] will be introduced... One concerns national security and the other our international relations, but it's not about the extension of a special status," he said.
