Klimkin invites his Italian colleague to visit Donbas before Italy's chairmanship of OSCE in 2018

Italy is determined to contribute to the settlement of the conflict in and around Ukraine during its chairmanship of the OSCE in 2018.

This was reported by the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine following the meeting of Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin with Italian Foreign Minister Angelino Alfano in New York.

"The foreign ministers of Ukraine and Italy discussed the prospects for the United Nations peacekeeping operation initiated by Ukraine in 2015. The Italian side was provided with additional arguments for the deployment of the mission throughout the entire territory of ORDLO, primarily along the temporarily uncontrolled part of the Russian-Ukrainian border," the report reads.

In the framework of the discussion on strengthening the OSCE’s role in the settlement of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, the Italian side was invited to visit Ukraine in November ahead of the Italian chairmanship of this organization in 2018.
