PM Groysman expects VR to approve pension reform next week

Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has said he expects that the Verkhovna Rada will approve the draft law on pension reform next week.

He stated this at a government meeting on Wednesday, September 13, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"I hope that next week we will approve the pension reform and then be able to raise pensions as soon as in October," the prime minister said.

As Ukrinform earlier reported, the Verkhovna Rada on July 13 supported in the first reading draft law No. 6614 which, in particular, provides for modernizing pensions and abolishing pension tax for working pensioners

On September 6, the relevant parliament’s committee supported the draft law on pension reform, developed for the second reading.
