Ukrainian side in Trilateral Contact Group calls for full compliance with ceasefire regime on Sept 1 – Olifer

The Ukrainian side during a videoconference of the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) on the peaceful settlement of the situation in Donbas calls for full compliance with a ceasefire regime on September 1.

Darka Olifer, the spokesperson for Ukrainian representative in the group, former Ukrainian president Leonid Kuchma, wrote this on her Facebook page on the results of the videoconference of August 31.

"The Ukrainian side urges to do everything possible to ensure that the ceasefire regime to be fully observed on September 1. Violations of the ceasefire regime on the part of the ORDLO should be investigated by the OSCE SMM, and those who are guilty must be identified and punished, with specific examples and making such cases public," Olifer wrote.

She noted that the Ukrainian side had been consistently fulfilling its obligations under the agreement on the ceasefire regime since August 25, 2017. At the same time, the ceasefire is systematically violated by the ORDLO, which indicates that the Russian Federation and the ORDLO do not adhere to the reached agreements.

Olifer also informed that the Trilateral Contact Group urged the ORDLO to ensure full and unhindered access of the OSCE SMM throughout the whole territory of Donbas region - from the contact line to the Ukrainian-Russian border.
