Macron disagrees with Putin on Ukraine

French President Emmanuel Macron has said he has major differences with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Ukraine and that he "won't let him get away with anything."

He said this in an interview with French weekly Le Point, according to Reuters.

"I speak with everybody. Very directly and very frankly. On Ukraine, we have major differences with Vladimir Putin. I take note of it. France won't let him get away with anything," Macron said.

France is a party to the Normandy format talks on resolving the conflict in the Donbas.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Emmanuel Macron said during a four-way telephone conversation that they considered unacceptable any statements undermining Ukraine's territorial integrity.
