President appoints new permanent representative in Crimea

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has appointed Borys Babin as his permanent representative in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

"To appoint Borys Volodymyrovych Babin as the permanent representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea," the document reads.

By another decree, Poroshenko dismissed Natalia Popovych from the post of the permanent representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

Poroshenko has stressed that the restoration of Ukraine's sovereignty over Crimea occupied by Russia is one of the main tasks of the Ukrainian government.
