Occupation authorities of Crimea want to intimidate Crimean Tatars with other illegal verdicts – Foreign Ministry

The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine condemns illegal verdicts rendered in the occupied Crimea to 76-year-old Crimean activist Server Karametov and defendant in the so-called Crimean saboteurs case Redvan Suleymanov, demanding to stop repression.

Spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry Mariana Betsa wrote this on Twitter.

"Russia hits new depths: jails 76-year-old ill Crimean Tatar for a peaceful protest," she said.

Betza also condemned the verdict to one of the defendants in the case of "Crimean saboteurs" Redvan Suleymanov.

"Another illegal verdict of the invader. The goal is to break Crimean Tatars. We condemn it and urge to stop repression," the Foreign Ministry spokeswoman wrote.

As reported, Russian police officers detained 76-year-old Crimean activist Server Karametov who held one-man protest action near the Supreme Court of Crimea in Simferopol, expressing support for Mejlis deputy chairman Akhtem Chiygoz.
