Trump, Macron discuss situation in Ukraine - White House

The presidents of the United States and France talked about the situation in Ukraine, Syria, Iraq, Libya and North Korea.

"U.S. President Donald Trump and French President Emmanuel Macron discussed the situation in Ukraine. Trump and Macron also discussed the importance of implementation of the Minsk agreements to reach a peaceful settlement of the situation in Donbas," the White House reports.

The presidents also spoke about the cooperation in resolving the ongoing crises in Syria and Iraq, the political settlement of the situation in Libya and countering terrorist activity in the Sahel region of Africa.

They agreed that the Maduro regime in Venezuela must respect the rights of the Venezuelan people.

The parties also discussed mutual interests regarding North Korea.
