Poroshenko welcomes EU’s decision to introduce new sanctions against Russia for Siemens turbines delivery

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has welcomed the political decision of the ambassadors of the EU member states to introduce new sanctions against Russia for the illegal delivery of Siemens turbines to the temporarily occupied Crimea.

The Head of State wrote this on his Facebook page.

"I welcome the political decision of the EU Ambassadors to impose new sanctions on Russia for illegal delivery of Siemens turbines to temporary occupied Crimea. Yet another four Russian individuals and three legal entities will now face just and fair restrictive measures in response to their cynical and voluntary breach of contracts. The 'Siemens precedent' must be punished to never happen again!" the President wrote.

On Tuesday, the ambassadors of the EU member states agreed to expand anti-Russian sanctions over Siemens gas turbines delivered to the annexed Crimea.
