Duda, Trump discuss situation in Ukraine

The situation in Ukraine and the West-2017 military exercise have been discussed at a meeting between the U.S. and Polish presidents, Donald Trump and Andrzej Duda.

This was stated by the Polish president, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"We discussed the situation in Ukraine, the West-2017 exercise [the Russian-Belarusian exercise scheduled for September], and contracts for the modernization of the Polish army, in particular, the purchase of Patriot missiles," Duda said.

He said that Trump had similar views on the security situation in the region.

Duda noted that he expected intensive cooperation with the United States in the supply of liquefied gas to Poland.

"I hope that a long-term contract will soon be signed, and this will mean the diversification of energy supplies to Poland," the Polish leader said.
