Poltorak, Fallon discuss security situation in Ukraine and world

Defence Minister of Ukraine General of the Army of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak and Secretary of State for Defence Sir Michael Fallon discussed in London the security situation in Ukraine and in the world.

This has been reported by the press service of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine.

"During the meeting, the parties discussed the current security situation in Ukraine and in the world," the report said.

In addition, Poltorak briefed his counterpart on progress of reforms of the Ukrainian army and role of the UK advisers working in Ukraine and providing consultations in reforms.

“It would be very difficult without help of our advisers and I would like to thank for their work. I’m also satisfied with the level of training conducted by the UK instructors. It is necessary to continue this process”, General Poltorak said.

The parties also discussed the UK assistance to Ukraine in establishment of NCOs colleges in Ukraine.

General Poltorak invited Sir Fallon to visit Kyiv in August on the Day of Independence of Ukraine.
