Armed conflict in Donbas on agenda of OSCE Parliamentary Assembly session in Minsk

An issue of the armed conflict in Donbas will be on the agenda of the 26th session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, which starts in Minsk on July 5.

The Parliamentary Assembly will meet in the Belarusian capital for the first time in the history of the OSCE; from 1996 to 2003 this organization did not recognize the National Assembly of Belarus as a legitimately elected parliament, Radio Liberty reported.

"The session will last five days, the debates are expected not only around the crisis in Ukraine, they will also concern the protracted conflicts in the South Caucasus, the fight against corruption, the rights of refugees, and so on," the report said.

The Ukrainian delegation at the session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in Minsk is headed by Artur Gerasimov, the head of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction in the Verkhovna Rada.
