Russia not fulfilled any provisions of Minsk agreements, Gerashchenko says at PACE session

The Russian Federation has not fulfilled a single provision of the Minsk agreements and the PACE resolutions.

First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Iryna Gerashchenko said this during a speech at the PACE session in Strasbourg, the press service of the Solidarnist parliamentary faction reports.

"Crimea and a part of Donbas remain under the occupation of the Russian Federation. Only this year more than 100 Ukrainian soldiers were killed, dozens of civilians were killed, 132 hostages are held captive by the pro-Russian militants, their number is increasing, and their release has been blocked for a year. The militants recently put to prison journalist Stanislav Aheyev, who cooperated with a number of leading Ukrainian media. There are also political prisoners in prisons of the Russian Federation, including journalist Roman Sushchenko, dozens of other Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars. The Russian Federation has not fulfilled a single provision of the Minsk agreements and the PACE resolutions that called on the Russian authorities to release prisoners and return to the norms of the international law," Gerashchenko stressed.

She also reminded of difficult security issues and humanitarian situation in Donbas and deterioration of the environmental situation.
