Poroshenko in Brussels to speak about aggravation of security situation in Donbas

On Thursday, June 22, President Petro Poroshenko will make a working visit to Brussels.

"During the visit, the Head of State will meet with President of the European Council Donald Tusk, President of the European People's Party Joseph Daul, as well as other leaders of the EU member states. In addition, the President of Ukraine will participate in the extended summit of the European People's Party," the press service of the president informs.

Poroshenko will inform the interlocutors about the aggravation of the security situation in Donbas, the status of implementation and specific cases of violation by the Russian side of the Minsk agreements in order to ensure a positive decision of the European Council regarding prolongation of the sectoral sanctions against Russia.

The President of Ukraine also plans to discuss issues related to the preparations for the Ukraine-EU summit on July 12-13, 2017 in Kyiv.
