During the period from February 16 to May 15, 2017, 36 civilians were killed and 157 were injured in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) zone in eastern Ukraine.

Ms. Fiona Frazer, the Head of the United Nations Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine, said this while presenting the 18th report, an Ukrinform correspondent informed.

"The report covers the period from February 16 to May 15, 2017, during which the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine (HRMMU) recorded 36 conflict-related civilian deaths and 157 injuries – a 48 per cent increase on the previous reporting period from November 16, 2016 to February 15, 2017," she said.

Fraser stressed that "the conflict in Ukraine enters its fourth year with no end in sight."
