Ukraine complies with 85% of Council of Europe's recommendations for tackling corruption

By the end of 2016, Ukraine successfully complied with 85% of the Council of Europe’s anti-corruption recommendations and with almost half of the recommendations for transparent financing of political activities.

This is stated in the report of the Group of States against Corruption (GRECO), the Council of Europe anti-corruption body, released on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

According to the report, Ukraine successfully implemented 85% of GRECO recommendations for criminalization of corruption-related actions by the end of 2016.

In addition, as noted in the report, Ukraine complied with almost half of the recommendations for transparent financing of political activities.

Other recommendations were implemented partially, GRECO states.
