PM Groysman orders Zubko to hold meeting on decentralization in Kyiv region

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman says he will order Vice Prime Minister - Minister for Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Hennadiy Zubko to hold a meeting with representatives of Kyiv region’s authorities to discuss issues of decentralization. 

He stated this during Government Question Hour meeting held in the Verkhovna Rada on Friday, May 26, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

“I know there are problems with the decentralization of communities in Kyiv ... I will order Vice-Prime Minister Hennadiy Zubko to gather representatives of Kyiv region so that they can discuss this issue. I emphasize that no official has the right to suspend the process of decentralization, because it has proved its effectiveness,” the prime minister said.
