Ukraine to hold consultations with G7 leaders in near future – Poroshenko

President Petro Poroshenko will hold consultations with the leaders of the G7 countries in the near future.

The Head of State said this on the air of ICTV channel, the President’s press service reported on Tuesday.

"I'm going to hold consultations with the leaders of the Group of Seven in the near future. I'm starting with Germany. On May 20, I leave for Berlin to hold informative negotiations with Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel," the President said.

Poroshenko has recalled that the meeting of the Chancellor of Germany with newly elected President of France Emmanuel Macron was held, and noted that consultations will continue with both countries as participants of the Normandy format. "We will thoroughly discuss the issue of coordination of our actions," he said.

The President has also said that telephone conversations and meetings with other leaders of the G7 countries are also planned in order to prepare for the summit at the highest level.
