No one will ever embroil Belarus in war against Ukraine, Lukashenko says to Poroshenko

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has been reassured by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko that no one will ever embroil Belarus in a war against Ukraine.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said this during the joint commemoration of Chornobyl accident with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, the press service of the Head of State reported.

"Nobody will ever set Ukraine against Belarus. I have been firmly reassured by the President of Belarus that no one will ever embroil Belarus in a war against Ukraine," Poroshenko said.

He has stressed that Ukraine highly appreciates friendship and cooperation with Belarus, and "Kyiv-Minsk line is an axis of good, friendship and peace."

"It is extremely important for us that Ukrainian-Belarusian border was, is and will always be a border of friendship, good neighborliness and reliable partnership and a border of peace," the President said.
