Foreign ministers of Ukraine, Georgia discuss further development of relations between two countries

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin at a meeting with Georgian Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze discussed the issue of further comprehensive development of relations between the states.

This has been reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.

"In connection with the 25th anniversary of the resumption of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Georgia, the ministers noted the successful development of friendly and strategically important relations between Ukraine and Georgia and discussed their further comprehensive development in political, military, economic, humanitarian, legal and other areas of cooperation," reads a statement.

The ministers strongly condemned the ongoing aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine and Georgia, calling upon the international community to strengthen its support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and Georgia.

The parties discussed the issues of European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine and Georgia and their relations with the EU and NATO.

Klimkin expressed his sincere gratitude to Georgia for providing the humanitarian assistance in the psychological rehabilitation of Ukrainian soldiers wounded in ATO and in the rehabilitation of children suffered from hostilities.
