President Poroshenko: Bill on new Labor Code not to be revised

Neither the Verkhovna Rada nor the President of Ukraine will support the decision by the parliamentary committee to remove the so-called anti-discrimination clause from a bill on the new Labor Code, which contradicts Ukraine's obligation taken within the procedure for getting a visa-free travel with the EU.

Svyatoslav Tsegolko, President Petro Poroshenko’s Press Secretary wrote this on Facebook.

"The President will not allow the revision of Ukraine's obligations, which we’ve been implementing to get a visa-free regime. The Head of State considers as erroneous and even provocative the decision by the parliamentary committee to withdraw the so-called anti-discrimination clause from a draft law on the new Labor Code. Petro Poroshenko assured our partners through diplomatic channels that such a position of the committee will not find support either in the Verkhovna Rada or even by the President,” reads a report.

President Petro Poroshenko stated that Ukraine fulfilled, fulfils and will fulfill all its obligation.
