Pavlo Klimkin, Krzysztof Szczerski in Warsaw discuss preparations for holding Consultative Committee of Presidents

Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin, and Krzysztof Szczerski, Secretary of State at the Polish President's Chancellery, discussed the agenda of a dialog at the level of heads of the two states, the Foreign Ministry’s press service reports.

“Among priority issues that were discussed was the preparation for the next meeting of the Consultative Committee of the Presidents of Ukraine and Poland in Kyiv on April 11, 2017," the Foreign Ministry reports.

In particular, the parties noted the need to continue a constructive dialogue at the highest level in the interests of strategic partnership between Ukraine and Poland. The parties also confirmed the community of approaches of the two countries regarding a peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian-Russian conflict on the principles of respect for territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine.

Also, special attention was paid to the need for preserving the European solidarity, including on energy security issues.

In addition, the parties discussed the state and prospects for strengthening regional cooperation between the two countries within the framework of existing and new cooperation mechanisms.
